HappyNewYear! calendar formats

HappyNewYear! currently has three different calendar formats which you can choose from for displaying your calendar in either a calendar case, a standard 4x6 frame, or a standard CD jewel case (left to right in above photo). Below is some information about the differences between these calendar formats and what you can do with each of them.

Standard CD Jewel Case

  • This format is designed to be displayed in a standard CD jewel case. If you have a lot of standard CD jewel cases sitting around, this format is ideal because you can recycle them by using them to display your HappyNewYear! calendars.
  • When storing extra months of your calendar behind the current month, there may not be room for putting a full 12 months in this case. The number of months you can store varies depending on the thickness of the photo paper you use to print your calendars on.
  • The dimensions for this format are 4 3/4 inches by 4 3/4 inches (4.75"x4.75").
  • Click here to find out how to use a standard CD jewel case as a frame for your HappyNewYear! calendar.

Calendar Case

  • This format is designed to be used with calendar cases which are specifically designed to display calendars.
  • These calendar cases are designed to easily flip open to display the calendar, so you don't have to remove and flip over the cover like when using a standard CD jewel case.
  • Because of the way these Calendar Cases are designed, they usually have more than enough room to store a full 12 months.
  • Because the calendar is displayed on the bottom half of this calendar case, the actual calendar is not displayed behind plastic like when using a standard CD jewel case to display your calendars. Only a small sliver at the bottom of the calendar is covered by plastic.
  • The dimensions for this format are 5 7/16 inches by 4 11/16 inches (5.4375"x4.6875").
  • Click here to see some places to order calendar cases.

4x6" landscape and portrait

  • This format is designed to be displayed in any 4x6 picture frame.
  • When using this format you can print your calendar out on your own color printer, or you can print it out at any photo center by exporting the calendar as JPEG files and printing them just like any other 4x6 digital photo.
  • The dimensions for this format are 4 inches by 6 inches (4"x6").
  • Click here to see some 4x6 picture frames that we found for displaying calendars.

10x15cm landscape and portrait

  • This format is designed to be displayed in any 10x15cm picture frame.
  • When using this format you can print your calendar out on your own color printer, or you can print it out at any photo center by exporting the calendar as JPEG files and printing them just like any other 10x15cm digital photo.
  • The dimensions for this format are 10cm x 15cm.

Other Sizes

  • We currently do not support formats other than those listed above but some users have reported good results by using our Export to JPEG feature in conjunction with Apple's Preview program to print to other sizes.
