One of the easiest ways to make great looking, fun, customized photo cards is to use the many great fonts out there. Apple's Mac OS X comes with many preinstalled fonts, but there are many more fonts available on the Internet. While some fonts cost money, there are also many great free fonts. After downloading font files from the Internet, you install fonts on you Mac using Font Book. 
HappyHolidays! templates use many different fonts so that you can see different photo card styles. If a font stored in a template is not available on your Mac, you will be warned if you try creating a new document from that template, your photo card will not look exactly like the template as shown in the Template Picker. The system will substitute an available font for any missing fonts that it cannot find. If you want to have your photo card look exactly like the template, then download and install the missing font before creating your photo card from the template.
There are many font download sites on the Internet. A good starting place to look for mac fonts is: www.macfonts.com. Many fonts are already included with Mac OS X. Some that we've used in our templates are: American Typewriter, Apple Symbols, Brush Script, Chalkboard, Cochin, Helvetica, Herculanum, Hiragino Kaku Gothic, and Marker Felt.
